But there are a few that get the occasional duds that even massed produced watches (seiko, timex etc) also get on the spotlight for (loose crowns etc). In comparison, most automatic Stauer watches use less dependable and less well proven ebauche movements like the Dixmont Guangzhu and other similar very inexpensive mass produced Chinese movements. The company uses less well made, less costly componants. I called STAUER and they asked me to send it back to them, so I did. I guess we'll see what I get back.either way.good.bad. My question is.what kind of luck have any of you had with the watches that STAUER sells?
Stauer is not a great brand. They sell a lot of sky mall type stuff for sure and their products, while decent, are not of the highest quality. That being said, I love my Stauer watch. I came across a really nice-looking Stauer Series 7 Regulator 2, but I know looks aren’t everything, and I really don’t know too much about the company. What do you think?
