I own some authentic Goyard and this is a very good rep. The Y’s are just barely not touching eachother, very small gaps and good quality overall. The interlocking letters and dots reminiscent of stippling quickly register in anyone’s mind that it’s Goyard. There is symbolism behind the design — the dots represent the logging background of the Goyard family. The linking Ys point to the Y within the Goyard name. The print will show wear overtime, it can fade and lose some of its dots, especially in areas were there is a lot of rubbing. I personally do not mind it too much, it adds character and gives the bag a historical look (like the old trunks). I never had any .
My recollection of models which use such design on their handles are saint louis, hardy, artois, anjou. Despite the flaw of abovementioned, I am still a lover of Goyard as models such as ambassade, croisiere, boeing and of course, its signature trunks are exemplary design of good craftsmanship.
