The three key pieces you NEED to update are: Main Hand, Off-hand and Chest. Following that are the CP granting accessory slots: Neck, Wrist, Rings, Ear. These are pretty important, but not as critical. Then least important are the control only slots (Non-chest body pieces): Head, Hands, Waist, Legs, Boots. I’m confused! There’s so much .

Any submariner or OP owners (new releases of 2020) out there with the same movement problem as the 3235?? Specifically, losing time or discovering low amplitude on the movement. Thanks in advance. I posted about a year ago hoping to find the fix to the issues plaguing the 3235 movement. My post at the time was to find a reason and solution to the issue. While there were many interesting replies, no long term fix was ever found. That was the case until now. 3235, Weishi 1900, LA 53deg Watch was wound fully after 58 hr test but was demonstrating extremely low amplitude and rate even in DU position. Worn during day today was losing 15-20 s/hour. Clearly letting it run down to near 60 hours magnified the issue. Off to service it goes. Will repeat test on return.

For clarity, I've read a number of articles on the difference between the ACTUAL 3135 & 3235 calibers & fully understand how & why the 32 is a better movement. It's 15% more efficient, more stable, higher power reserve, etc. But, that's when comparing gen to gen. Amplitude seems to be lower from factory in the 3235 and would not be the reason. The problem doesn't seem to be extended to all 3235 movements but only affects a minority, judging from forum members' reports elsewhere. Based on my pristine experience with the 3135 and satisfactory experience with the 3235 (even if hit and miss), I trust Rolex and I have no doubt the source of the problem can be found and addressed, eventually.
In this follow-up to my previous video I'll show you how to measure the amplitude of your 32xx movement Rolex watch over 24h to see if you might be suffering. This results in low amplitude and thus slow timekeeping. My replacement (long story) is +1.8s/day so far. Many don’t care, and I get modern watches are rarely used for actual precise timekeeping, but something to keep in mind.
Are there other reasons for low amplitude than the usual suspects (low to no lubrication, weak mainspring)? Will lower amplitude also translate to lower power reserve or is there no correlation? With Rolex’s 5-year warranty, it only made sense to have it fixed. The AD suggested that it be cleaned and suspected there may be a foreign body causing an issue. Regardless, the AD took it upon themselves to do a full service of the movement.
